Thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers, there are a number of thriving ministries at MGMC. We LOVE our community and believe that EVERY person is a minister with a gift of aloha to share!
Jr. High Youth Ministry - Something Crazy Ministry
Something Crazy ministry exists so that individuals will experience, encounter, and embrace Something Crazy which is the love of God. We exist to see God transform the lives of the youth, and for them to be envisioned, empowered, and equipped to transform their generation and their nations.
We have Friday night services that start at 7:00pm and end at 9:30pm and are located on MGMC campus upstairs. Our Friday night services include a lot of fun games, joyful worship, an applicable message, and fellowship in small groups. Students often hang out after the service upstairs to hang out and play games.
We also have Sunday morning small groups that are from 8:15-10:15am.

Caleb Years
Our senior citizens’ ministry meets every Thursday morning at the MGMC campus for bible study and fellowship. They participate in a variety of monthly excursions, community service projects, and continually serve the church through cooking, ushering, cleaning, and in many other ways.
Monday Night Healing
The Monday Night Healing Ministry is held in partnership with Laulima Ministries International (www.laulimaministries.com) under Pastor Dean Fujishima. This is an example of Ephesians 4:11 which says: “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry” While the emphasis is on caring for those who need healing both physically and emotionally, there is also a strong emphasis on training and equipping the saints to step out in greater ministry as they discover and grow in their own spiritual gifts.
Hulacise
A ministry of the Seniors and an outreach to the community to encourage fitness and healthy lifestyles. We also give to those less fortunate by donating non perishable food items monthly to the Hawaii Foodbank and to the homeless on our island.
Classes are held on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. in the MGMC Sanctuary
Visitation
The Visitation Ministry takes the healing love and compassion of Jesus outside our church walls. There are prayer ministers who visit hospitals and care homes in teams as the requests come in from family members who want a special touch of God for a loved one in need. This ministry continues to be a loving outreach to the community at large in response to the Lord’s cry, “Who shall I send, and who will go for us?”
Prayer
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry is charged with the task of seeking God’s blessing for the ministry and calling of Moanalua Gardens Missionary Church. This consists of enlisting the support of intercessors who consistently pray for the pastors, elders, staff and church members that each one could understand and accomplish what the Lord has before them. Intercessors are kept informed of needs and ongoing prayer concerns through e-mail and by phone as the needs arise. There are also regular Intercessory Prayer meetings and special prayer times to seek the Lord prior to conferences, weekend services and special events.
Worship
The goal of our Worship Ministry is to provide an opportunity for people to worship our God, freely and openly, and in spirit and truth. Our worship teams are multi-ethnic and multi-generational. We try to do a mix of both traditional hymns with contemporary chorus type songs. The congregation is free to worship in different postures (sitting, standing, raising hands, etc.), as well as to sing spontaneously as the Holy Spirit prompts. Overall, our goal is to glorify God and give to Him the honor that He so richly deserves.
Frontline
Our Frontline Ministry consists of a variety of service areas including our Greeters, Ushers, Welcome Center, Refreshments, Book table (The Garden), CD/Tape Duplication, Floral, and Hospitality Ministries. Our goal is to provide a welcoming experience for our people, and especially for our guests. We strive to provide a warm first impression to our visitors in order that they would be encouraged to return often.
Floral Ministry
Our Floral Ministry is involved in many activities in the church as well as in the marketplace. We initially organized to provide the weekend services with the alter arrangements and offered floral workshops to our church. We have continued with those activities but have also begun to provide floral arrangements for special events and actively involve ourselves in the transformation of Hawaii through the floral marketplace. We welcome all to come and join us!
Audio/Visual Ministry
Our Audio/Visual Ministry consists of individuals that operate our Sound System, PowerPoint presentations on computers, and create Videos for testimonies and announcements. Our goal is to provide a quality audio and visual experience during worship services and other events.
Levites Ministry
Our Levites Ministry is made of hardworking volunteers who are responsible for setting up and putting away our equipment, tables, chairs, banners, etc. at the site of our worship services, Moanalua Middle School. We have different teams assigned each week to “prepare the ground” for experiencing the presence of God during the service.
